Altspeak are an American band from Seattle, formed in 2008 by Iggy Faus. The line-up includes Seattle Indie veterans Matt Brown (of Trespassers William), William Hallauer (of The Turn-ons), Andrew Gaskin (of The Little Penguins) and Coulter Leslie (of Coulter) .... The band delivers a European influenced combination of Indie Rock, Shoegaze and Classic Songwriting and has been compared to acts like The Fratellis, The Hives, The Strokes, late Stereophonics and early Oasis & Coldplay..... It all started when Iggy, Matt & Will recorded a series of demos known as "A Serious Conversation" as a fun homemade project that later evovled into the current live line-up and the band's first studio album "It's Up To You". .... Produced by Erik Blood (The Moondoggies, The Turn-ons, The Lights), "It's Up To You" is a collection of 13 distinct, melodic and carefully crafted guitar driven songs distinguished by their orchestral flourishes, swooping guitar lines and shades of Shoegaze. ....
