他除了以和Yoko Kanno合作為人所知外，曾經與Spencer Cobrin協力制作過一張名叫"Elva Snow"專輯，1999年發行，今年重新發行。Scott Mathew負責演唱和歌詞寫作，而Spencer Cobrin做為鼓手、鍵盤手、吉他手和作曲。 如果有人也看過那個糾結電影《short bus》的話，難說會記得有個場景是兩個倒吊著的歌女穿著滑稽的面部表情衣服，旁邊有個山羊胡子帥哥彈吉他唱歌，聲音非常厚實，沒錯就是Scott Matthew了?？措娪暗臅r候雖然不喜歡那種怪異的風格（所以個人除原聲帶外不推薦），但是他的聲音還是很讓人印象深刻，很厚實溫暖卻不循規蹈矩，感覺他的個性也很理想主義。還有電影里面快結尾的時候大狂歡另一個人唱的那首《In The End》，被Scott Matthew翻唱出了感動的味道。

Scott Matthews, born 15th Jan 1976 in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK, was raised in a very musical family. His father was a drummer and introduced Scott to such iconic artists as Marc Bolan, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan. Upon acquiring his first guitar at the tender age of seven, It didn't take long before Scott realised that music was his true calling in life. Scott's diverse musical taste would later lead to experimentations with funk, soul and indie rock, with various local bands, before finally deciding to embark on a career as a solo artist. In 2003 Scott played his first ever solo show, and was spotted by a local dj, who would eventually become Scott's manager. By 2004 Scott had signed a recording contract with independent label San Remo Records, the label that would release Scott's 2006 ground-breaking album "Passing Stranger". Passing Stranger contained an eclectic mix of styles and feaured the world renowned tabla player, Sukvinder Singh Namdari, who had played alongside such artists as Ry Cooder and Ravi Shankar and it wasn't long before Scott was getting national airplay from the likes of Janice Long, Mark Radcliffe and Bob Harris on BBC Radio 2. Scott's first single "Elusive" was released in September 2006. The single received much airplay from BBC Radio DJs Jo Whiley, Dermot O'Leary, and Zane Lowe. Lowe played "Elusive" once each night as his chosen Single of the Week. Matthews also visited the station to perform "Elusive" and other songs from the album in May and August 2006. In May 2007, "Elusive" won the Ivor Novello Award for "Best Song Musically and Lyrically". The extensive media attention lead to a licensing deal with Universal Island Records, who were the releasing label for Scott's 2nd album "Elsewhere", which was released in May 2009 to critical acclaim. Scott has not only embarked on a number of sell-out headline tours, but has also been fortunate enough to tour with some of the world's most respected artists, including, Foo Fighters, Snow Patrol, Rufus Wainwright,Tori Amos and Robert Plant. Scott is about to release a live album, recorded at Shepherd's Bush Empire, London and is also currently recording his 3rd album, entitled "What the Night Delivers". Both of which will be released on the San Remo label.
