這張《Dig!!! Lazarus Dig!!!》是尼克·凱夫（Nick Cave）與壞種子樂隊（the Bad Seeds）正式合作的第14張專輯，與他們上一張專輯《Abattoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus》相隔近四年。本周，《Dig!!! Lazarus Dig!!!》在英國流行音樂榜中首周上榜，名列第四位。 其實，在近兩年中，Nick Cave一直就沒閑著，在2005年底和今年年初，他和御用小提琴手Warren Ellis先后合作了兩張電影原聲大碟《The Proposition》和《The Assassination of Jesse James》，而去年，他還與“三顆壞種子”一起變身成為“Grinderman”，并推出一張同名專輯《Grinderman》。老頑童Nick Cave在變著法兒的玩，我們也的確都猜不到他下一步會玩出點什么。
相比Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds近年來的溫柔范兒，這張《Dig!!! Lazarus Dig!!!》無疑是粗線條的，專輯整體的曲風更接近于去年Grinderman推出的那張《Grinderman》，但其中也不乏像《Jesus Of The Moon》這樣個別動聽的慢歌 。由于專輯中涉及到圣經的部分內容，因此有些歌詞理解起來還是有相當難度的?！禗ig!!! Lazarus Dig!!!》由Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds和在《Abattoir Blues/The Lyre Of orpheus》中曾與樂隊合作過的Nick Launay聯合制作。
