Award-winning Chinese director Zhang Yimou’s (Raise the Red Lantern, Hero, House of Flying Daggers) and producer Zhang Weiping’s THE FLOWERS OF WAR starring Academy Award winning actor Christian Bale (The Fighter, The Dark Knight) is a 90 million US$ production.The film has been selected as this year’s official foreign language entry for China at the Academy Awards. The movie marks the largest production ever in Chinese cinema, boasting an internationally renowned cast and crew.The score for this soundtrack was composed by Qigang Chen, a Chinese composer who studied in Paris under the famous Olivier Messiaen and received the “Grand Prize of Symphonic Music” of SACEM in 2005. Qigang Chen was Music Director of 2008 Summer Olympics opening ceremony in Beijing and also composed the theme song for this grand occasion. His major works are, among others: Iris Dévoilée (Iris unveiled), Reflet d' un Temps Disparu (Reflections of a Vanished Time) for Cello & Orchestra, the piano concert “Erhuang”.Grammy Award-winning violinist Joshua Bell is featured as the leading soloist in many pieces.Bell was already featured on prestigious soundtracks in the past, including the one for the movie “Angels & Demons” (with music by Hans Zimmer) and “Ladies in Lavender”, providing violin solos and working closely with the respective composer. On the OST “The Flowers of War”, Bell again proves his flawless play and ability to put his heart and soul in his solos.

索尼音樂將負責發行2011年12月16日在全國上映的《金陵十三釵》的電影原聲大碟?！督鹆晔O》是今年入圍奧斯卡金像獎最佳外語片的中國電影。作為中國至今為止投資最宏大的制作，片中的演員和工作人員都在國際上享譽盛名。由陳其鋼先生執掌的電影原聲配樂中的許多曲子在小提琴家貝爾的精湛詮釋下，體現了他引人入勝的的藝術性。

　　《金陵十三釵》由奧斯卡獎得主克里斯蒂安?貝爾（曾飾演《斗士》、《蝙蝠俠之：黑暗騎士》）主演，由著名導演張藝謀（曾執導《大紅燈籠高高掛》、《十面埋伏》）導演。電影改編自嚴歌苓的同名歷史小說《金陵十三釵》，這是一個以真實事件為基礎的小說故事。故事的背景是1937年日本侵華戰爭期間的“南京大屠殺”。在矛盾沖突之中，美國的約翰（克斯利斯蒂安?貝爾飾）和13個在教堂中避難的風塵女子與一群女學生聚到一起。這一群手無寸鐵的人以史詩般的希望、愛和犧牲抵抗著日本軍隊的殘忍屠殺。

　　格萊美獎項得主、小提琴家約夏?貝爾在電影配樂中領銜了26首曲子當中12首的獨奏。貝爾曾在過許多赫赫有名的電影配樂中執掌小提琴獨奏的部分，包括《反抗軍》、《等愛的女人》、《蝶戀花》和《紅色小提琴》，這些都獲得了奧斯卡最佳電影配樂獎。在《金陵十三釵》的電影配樂中，貝爾再次將自己獨一無二的藝術才能注入到精美絕倫的獨奏中。

　　《金陵十三釵》的電影音樂由陳其鋼作曲，陳其鋼出生在中國，曾在巴黎師從于奧利維爾?梅西昂，并曾獲得2005年法國音樂版權組織(SACEM)頒發的交響樂大獎。他是北京2008夏季奧運會開幕式的音樂總監，并為開幕式創作了主題曲《我和你》。他主要的作品包括《蝶戀花》、為大提琴和樂隊寫的《逝去的時光》以及鋼琴協奏曲《二黃》。

　　陳其鋼為《金陵十三釵》創作的電影音樂由中國愛樂樂團演奏，著名指揮家張藝指揮，并由瑞典阿爾麥納合唱團演唱。眾多德高望重的中國音樂家與貝爾一起完成該影片的配樂，他們是徐惠芬（評彈）、陳小朵（女高音）、嚴潔敏（二胡）、李佳（琵琶）、朱亦兵（大提琴）等?！　?
