Bon Jovi，這個名字可以說是近代搖滾樂史上最成功的代名詞。從1984年推出同名專輯后嶄露頭角，他們以一首又一首超熱血的搖滾國歌及扣人心弦的情歌經典，闖出專屬于Bon Jovi的搖滾世代，每一首耳熟能詳的排行金曲，包括“You Give Love a Bad Name”、“Livin’ On A Prayer”、“Always”、“It’s My Life”等，這些歌曲都成功撼動著全球搖滾樂迷的心，成締造全美5張冠軍專輯，歷年唱片總銷售突破1億3500萬張的驚人數字。

Bon Jovi對這個世代搖滾樂的貢獻，也同時讓他們獲得為數不少的音樂獎項，包括2004年獲頒全美音樂獎榮譽成就獎、主唱Jon Bon Jovi與吉他手Richie Sambora在2009年入列「美國詞曲創作家名人殿堂」，樂團同時獲得來自葛萊美獎、MTV音樂錄像帶大獎、MTV歐洲音樂獎、全英音樂獎及世界音樂獎等數不盡的獎座肯定。出道至今超越30年的Bon Jovi，2013年他們推出的【What About Now】專輯，不但空降美國專輯榜冠軍，同時展開的《Because We Can》巡回演唱會也以102場，高達2億5950萬美金的票房，稱霸巡回演唱會刊物Pollstar的全球百大巡回演唱會票房冠軍，在去年更獲得告示牌音樂獎最暢銷巡回演唱會，Bon Jovi在全球樂壇的影響力依舊是無所披靡。

【Burning Bridges】其實是Bon Jovi特別要獻給歌迷的禮物，首支主打"Saturday Night Gave Me Sunday Morning"是專輯中最受矚目的歌曲，因為正是吉他手Richie Sambora在2013年告別Bon Jovi樂團之前就寫好的作品，流露著輕快的活力，標準的Bon Jovi風格，讓不少樂迷為之瘋狂！第二波單曲"We Don't Run"由Jon Bon Jovi與制作過Bon Jovi【Have A Nice Day】、【Lost Highway】等專輯的葛萊美獎制作人John Shanks共同創作，以鼓擊節奏加上鏗鏘作響的吉他搖滾，伴隨著Jon Bon Jovi不假修飾的原色唱腔，展現Bon Jovi的經典搖滾風格，歌曲描述就算身處后無退路的困境，也要抱持著破釜沉舟的意志力，像是浴火鳳凰般地沖向未來的積極人生態度；除了上述兩首新歌之外，更集結八首過去未曾曝光的遺珠之憾及未完成的Demo，主唱Jon Bon Jovi說：「希望能夠藉這張特別專輯，讓歌迷搶先一窺我們未來的音樂走向?！鼓銈儨蕚浜糜影顔叹S下一個音樂里程碑了嗎？

Bon Jovi are reportedly set to release Burning Bridges, their first album of the post-Richie Sambora era. Apparently due Aug. 21, the studio project is said to feature an advance single titled “Saturday Night Gave Me Sunday Morning,” reportedly slated for release on July 31.

Jon Bon Jovi turned to Philip Eric Xenidis (whose stage name is Phil X) to fill in during the latter part of Sambora’s tenure. The lineup is rounded out by fellow co-founders David Bryan and Tico Torres, as well as bassist Hugh McDonald, who has been with Bon Jovi since the early ’90s.

Burning Bridges follows 2013′s platinum-selling What About Now, which became Bon Jovi’s fifth chart-topping smash. Much has changed since then, with the surprising departure of Sambora, one of the group’s original members. The guitarist said he left in order to push himself creatively. “I just needed some kind of change,” he said earlier this year. “It’s not about money; it’s about music.”

Jon Bon Jovi, who was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame along with Sambora in 2009, debuted a new song earlier this year during graduation ceremonies at Rutgers University’s Camden, N.J., campus. “Reunion” was so freshly composed that Bon Jovi admitted he’d only performed it once before. “I sang it for the chancellor in the back dressing room,” he said.
