國外的邁親做致敬視頻，用的音樂是歌手Luther Vandross （路德?文德斯）唱的一首歌，歌名叫《每一年，每個圣誕節》。雖然三年過去了，我們思念Michael的心并沒有改變，很多人或許都在心里跟Michael說，每一年，每個圣誕節，我都會在這里等你。

Luther Vandross是美國著名的歌手、作詞和音樂制作人，曾獲八項格萊美獎，專輯銷量約為兩千五百萬張。由于Vandross在R&B方面的深厚造詣，網上曾有人一定要將Michael和Luther比較，結果很多歌迷都說，Luther善于敘事、抒情，Michael擅長節奏、旋律，兩個人在各自的領域里都有臻至完美的表現，并無高下可比。Luther與Michael雖然合作不多，但在Michael發起的“邁克爾和他的朋友們（Michael & His Friends)”慈善演出，以及他的從藝30周年紀念晚會上，Luther均積極參與。只是Luther一直患有高血壓和糖尿病，2005年因心臟病逝于新澤西州埃迪遜的一所醫院，年僅54歲。
