Three years ago, Marble Sounds broke the scene with 'Nice Is Good", one of the finest Belgian debuts of all time, and now with their sophomore release finds the quintet featuring the best of singer / songwriter Peter Van Dessel.
The tone is a bit autumnal this time, but that makes these ten melancholic indie folk songs no less beautiful. Quite the opposite, in fact. Chantal K delivers beautiful harmonies on "No One Ever Gave Us the Right," and the only cover - 'Ship in the Sand "by Sophia - fits seamlessly into the album's entirety.
These are beautiful, understated songs that allow you to close your eyes and drift away.
