Arthur toys with the knowledge that nothing can really happen between them as Uther would never condone it. Sick of sneaking around Merlin suggests they run away, yet Arthur can not abandon his duties. Unbeknownst to them Uther has witnessed the looks his son and Merlin have shared and confronts Arthur. Angry and upset Arthur agrees to leave with Merlin and they set off. Whist travelling over neighbouring kingdoms land they're attacked and Arthur makes the greatest sacrafice.
